Obama Sides with Islamists in Choudhury Case

By Dr. Richard Benkin
CFP - Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has touted himself as a friend to the oppressed, as a politician who stands up for justice and human rights.
This is a cornerstone of his campaign to the American people. It’s easy enough, however, to define oneself in whatever way one wants; especially when no one in the media challenges you on it.
Barack Obama’s Disgraceful Surrogate
July 29, 2008
By John McCormack
AMERICAN SPECTATOR - Greg Craig, senior foreign policy adviser to the Obama campaign, went on MSNBC this afternoon to defend his candidate's decision to skip a visit with wounded U.S. troops in Germany. The key exchange:
Andrea Mitchell: You were facing the Pentagon saying this can't be political, you can't bring aides, you can't bring General Gration, who is a retired military officer, why not just have him go and make it clear you weren't bringing all the others?
Greg Craig: The Pentagon said they were treating it as a campaign event, that this was politically sponsored, and the Pentagon told us that that was the fact of the matter, that he was engaged in a political event. So, to avoid putting the troops in the middle of a political situation, Senator Obama said "I'd rather take them out of it, rather than be seen as exploiting them. Let's not politicize the troops." And what has happened is, that ad and what Senator McCain has said has done precisely that. They are using the troops in a political fashion. It's disgraceful.
Known Unknowns About Obama

REAL CLEAR POLITICS - "Just tell me one thing Barack Obama has done that you admire," I asked a prominent Democrat. He paused and then said that he admired Obama's speech to the Democratic convention in 2004. I agreed. It was a hell of a speech, but it was just a speech.
On the other hand, I continued, I could cite four or five actions — not speeches — that John McCain has taken that elicit my admiration, even my awe. First, of course, is his decision as a Vietnam War POW to refuse freedom out of concern that he would be exploited for propaganda purposes. To paraphrase what Kipling said about Gunga Din, John McCain is a better man than most.
Obama’s Tour De Farce

NY POST - Termed a "learning" trip, Sen. Barack Obama's eight- day tour of eight nations in the Middle East and Europe turned out to be little more than a series of photo ops to enhance his international credentials.
"He looked like a man in a hurry," a source close to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said last week. "He was not interested in what we had to say."
Top 10 Things to Expect From Obama Court
July 28, 2008
By Amanda Carpenter
TOWNHALL - The conservative-leaning Committee for Justice is trying to rile supporters with a “Top 10” list of things to expect from the Supreme Court should Barack Obama be elected president and appoint his desired justices.
CJ Executive Director Curt Levey wrote supporters an email Monday with the words “Obama court is a conservative nightmare” in the subject line.
John Voight: Barack Obama sowing socialist seeds in young people

WASHINGTON TIMES - We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.
Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
Barack Obama’s brother pushes Chinese imports on US
July 28, 2008

TIMES ONLINE - Barack Obama’s half-brother has been helping to promote cheap Chinese exports in a low-profile business career while the Democratic senator has been winning worldwide fame in his race for the White House.
He has gone to extraordinary lengths to avoid public attention and his family links remain unknown to most of his acquaintances in Shenzhen, a border boomtown in southern China where he has lived since 2002.
Barack Hubris Obama

AMERICAN SPECTATOR - It makes some sense for a man who would be commander-in-chief of the American military to visit America's war zones, and indeed, before last week's trip, the McCain campaign had been taunting Barack Obama for months about the fact that he hadn't visited Iraq in a long time. It makes less sense, in the middle of a campaign, for a non-incumbent presidential candidate to do a tour of Europe, as Obama did last week after making stops in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

THE GREATER EVIL - Sometimes, you don't always find what it is that you're seeking on the Internet. At least, not when you could have really used it.
I decided today to search through the web archives to locate other COLB images that have not been seen since their original posting. What I found was downright shocking!
First, props to Brian Ledbetter and his blog, The Snapped Shot, for providing both the references to my original, June 20 post, and for providing what was presented as "proof positive" that the Kos image was genuine. The "proof" provided was an animated GIF showing the DeCosta COLB morphing into the Kos COLB.

Obama the Postmodern Candidate
July 27, 2008
By David Bueche
AMERICAN THINKER - Barack Obama has earned his place in history as the first postmodern candidate for president. He belongs to the deconstructionist school; his "texts" have no fixed meaning. He is able to take varying positions and claim consistency.
Senator Obama gave a lengthy interview earlier this week to ABC News in which he expounded on his ever-evolving position on the troop surge in Iraq.
Barack Obama’s “Not Exactly’s” (Lies)
July 27, 2008
THE VIRGINIAN - 1.) Selma Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google 'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)
2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.
