CNS NEWS - Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) said she is confident that President-elect Barack Obama will reverse the Bush administration’s decision six years ago to stop the $40 million in annual funding to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) because of its support of China’s one-child policy – a policy that includes coercive abortion.

If It Was Up to Obama, This Woman Would be Dead

TOWNHALL - No, I’m not talking about Sarah Palin, I’m talking about Gianna Jessen.
If it was up to the abominable Obama, the to-be-aborted little baby, Gianna Jessen, would have been turned into worm dirt 31 years ago. Thankfully, Mr. Change and Mr. Hope wasn’t around back then to lay his liberal legislative death-dealing pen to Ms. Jessen’s fate—and the world is a better place for it.
Deniers for Obama

NATIONAL REVIEW - Appearing on C-SPAN last weekend I mentioned that Barack Obama had opposed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act when he was an Illinois state senator — a position he has attempted to deny or obfuscate ever since. The liberal blogger who appeared on the program with me erupted with indignation. She didn’t deny that Obama had opposed the bill. She denied, hotly, that babies are ever born alive after an attempted abortion. Since I have actually met Gianna Jessen, who survived an attempted abortion, I invited viewers to contact me directly if they wanted evidence. My inbox has been bursting.
New Ad Targets Obama’s Failure to Protect Babies Born Alive After Abortions
September 16, 2008
A pro-life group has launched an ad featuring an abortion survivor and highlighting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s opposition to the “born alive infant protection act” when he was an Illinois state senator.
The 30-second spot began airing Monday. It features the voice of Gianna Jessen, who survived a botched abortion attempt 31 years ago. She points out that on four different occasions, Obama voted against the “Illinois Born Alive Infant Defined Act.”
Obamacide

AMERICAN THINKER - How does one properly describe another who would — for purely selfish political reasons and with deliberation — intentionally refuse a thirsty child water or a hungry child food?
More specifically, what does one call a lawmaker who would condemn to death the child survivor of a botched abortion by permitting doctors to refuse that child, once born alive, potentially life-saving medical treatment and nutrition?
A number of things come to mind. Mr. President isn't one of them.
Barack Obama’s Born-Alive Problem

TOWNHALL - Abortion is back with, dare we say it, biblical vengeance.
Republicans recently have been focused on Barack Obama's opposition several years ago to "born alive" legislation in Illinois that mirrored similar federal legislation aimed at granting personhood to a fetus/baby that was alive after removal from its mother's body, either by abortion or premature birth.
In the past few weeks, Obama has been accused of everything from favoring infanticide to lying about his vote, to inventing a cover-up, to being a baby-killing extremist.
Obama Argues For Death Of Babies Born Live After Attempted Abortion
August 21, 2008
In this audio Obama coldly claims two doctors helping a baby born alive after a botched abortion would be a burden when he was arguing against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act at the Illinois state legislature April 2002:
"Essentially adding an additional doctor who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments is really designed simply to burden the original decision…"
HotAir confirmed the legitimacy of the audio and noted that Obama had made this gruesome argument more than once.
Ace of Spades has more on extremist Obama who not only opposed legislation that passed the US Senate 98-0 but who actively spoke out against saving the lives of these babies.
Obama On Born Alive: ‘The doctor continues to think that it’s nonviable but there’s, let’s say, movement..’

NRO - Dear McCain campaign, Please spotlight these comments from Barack Obama about the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
[In the following transcription, I've cleaned up the sentences a bit; the actual transcript begins on page 31 here.]
Senator Obama: Can you just describe for me, under this legislation, what's going to be required for a doctor to meet the requirements that you've set forth?
Barack Obama’s Extremism

NY POST - Barack Obama had a mini Bob Dole moment after the Saddleback presidential forum the other night. Asked on the Christian Broadcasting Network about a controversy over his opposition to legislation in Illinois protecting infants born alive after surviving abortions, an irked Obama replied, "I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying."
